Posted on December 19, 2020 What a year!

As the Prophet Isaiah wrote in Chapter 9:6-7:  “For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders.  And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace”.

May His birth be a reminder of His return! Greetings from Puerto Rico, where I am right now, since July 2020, for my home assignment year. I should be back to the Dominican Republic by the first week of July 2021. God’s willing that I can make my 95-100% of PSG (Personal Support Goal). I am right now on 81%. I have faith that God will keep opening new doors of donors as individuals or churches to support me.

It has been a very tough and difficult year in many ways. Despite all the negative we can live with this Covid-19, I have to say that “God has been good and faithful”. Year 2020 started in the Dominican Republic with teams from US and Puerto Rico blessings communities with VBS, Medical Clinics, Three Kings Day celebration and distribution of gifts to children in very poor communities, orphanage, leper’s colony and schools until the virus arrived and stopped any activity. Since March 2020 until the first week of July I worked nonstop serving bags of food and groceries to communities in need. Many families lost their jobs, children out of school, no money to buy basic hygiene products, meds or food, etc. The situation was very difficult, even now still is difficult, and our job as a missionary cannot stop either. We are Gods hand and feet here on Earth, and that is what we try to do by caring for others, specially at this time of uncertainty and loneliness. During these past months I have been visiting churches (some via Facebook Live, Zoom, sending videos or physically) and during my sermon I make sure the church knows that there are many in need out there.  I make them part of my ministry even though I am not there right now, but God is still there and thru us we make it real.  We have been sending food, clothes, hygiene products, Meds, etc. to help during this pandemic time. Volunteers from my church in the DR help me with this and I thank God for His faithfulness and provision.

You have also been a blessing to my ministry, as a supporter and as a friend. I want to thank you for this and let you know that I am very grateful for you.  May God continue blessing you, your ministry and family.  May this time of the year be a reminder of His presence in you. I count with you for 2021. Have a blessed Christmas and a Happy 2021.

At His service,
