My reading the book Because of Bethlehem – Love is born, Hope is here (Max Lucado) made me reflect on the love that event in Bethlehem which changed the world brings. God’s love took on the form of a baby that night.

My singing “O Little Town of Bethlehem” reminds me of the hope that love brings because of the birth of Jesus which we celebrate.

“O little town of Bethlehem, how still we see thee lie…
….  the hopes and fears of all the years are met in thee tonight.

Thinking about how the Christmas message is love bringing hope, I am mindful of the hope brought by IM’s Nepali partners to others. They are seeing how their reaching out in love to others in need is bringing hope.

IM’s Nepali partners are able to give hope to others through your prayers for them and for me as I travel to Nepal throughout the year.

IM’s Nepali partners are bringing hope…

Hope in Nepal – helps a church;

– helps a village

move forward from their ruined surroundings to newness.

That newness is providing a safe church in which villagers may worship;

safe homes in which villagers may live.

And the promise of God’s hope can help you in whatever you may be facing in your own life.

Because of Bethlehem, the world was changed, giving us hope.

May the God of hope this Christmas season fill us all with joy and peace…
