“The journey… long. The nights… cold. God glorified!                                                                                                   The excitement of retuning to Mae La Refugee Camp to serve the Karen alongside others commissioned by International Ministries delighted my heart. Even though you never know what quite to expect, God is in the midst doing a wonderful work in and through all”                                                                                         These are the initial words Elder Michael A. Petty uttered upon arrival on familiar territory.

Brother Petty is familiar to IM and STM. He has served as a short-term volunteer in Africa, Asia and Australia. Now he is reunited with brothers and sisters, former students, teachers and co-disciples at a refugee camp in Asia. We thank brother Michael for his passion for missions and sharing the gospel to all the corners of the world.
May you be encouraged by his testimony and pictures.
“I was warmly greeted by old students, teachers and colleagues. It was as if I had never left. Some of my former students were now teachers and staff at the Bible College. Of course there were lots of new faces, however with that same kindness, smile and zeal for learning.

I know that I am supposed to be a blessing to the Karen, offering my time, talents and manpower but believe me when I tell you I am extremely blessed to serve the Karen and to be used by God. It is a very rewarding ministry when You are in the center of God’s will.
Da blu (thank you). Thra Lah Eh.
