Pray
Posted on December 12, 2019 Pray for Faye Yarbrough preparing to serve in ministries of discipleship and education in South Africa.

Faye will work as a mentor and teacher at Teleios Christian School in King Williams Town, South Africa. This is a church-based school serving disadvantaged children, including those who faced specific struggles within their previous school environments and who benefit from smaller class sizes where their individual needs can be met. Teleios Christian School is, as per its motto, “creating confident children based on God’s word.” Faye will tutor those students who need additional help, especially in the areas of mathematics and sciences, a ministry similar to one she is currently engaged with in California.

Faye writes – From October 6 to November 15, 2019, I spent my time in Union Mills, North Carolina at the Center of Intercultural Training (CIT) for Cross–Cultural Training and Second Language Acquisition Training. The classes are part of the preparation for living and working in South Africa.

The school year for Teleios Christian School is January to November. So the students have completed the 2019 school year, promoted to the next grade and now are on holiday. Top Honors were awarded to four outstanding students and there also was a demonstration of the arts through music and dance. My hope and prayer is to be with the students at Teleios Christian School for the 2020 school year. God’s timing is always perfect and good, so I rest in Him. … God has already constructed the future and I must GO.

The new journey ahead is with special needs children, the teachers and the administrative staff, who will not let the labels of society define the future of each individual child. The School’s scripture verse is Philippians 4:13(NLT), “For I can do everything through Christ who gives me strength.” We are all learning through this scripture, that the secret of living in every situation is a Thankful Heart for what the Creator of the universe gives to us each new day. I was also reminded today also of Philippians 4:6-7(NLT), “Don’t worry about anything. Tell God what you need and thank Him for all He has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.”

Prayer Requests:
*That I will be leaving soon to go to South Africa.
*The children at Teleios Christian School
*The ministry of letting Christ be known through Math and Science at Teleios Christion School
*Our journey together, recognizing that God has brought us together in order to make a difference in the lives of children in South Africa and in your local area.
