Pray for Kihomi Ngwemi & Nzunga Mabudiga bringing the love of Jesus in word and deed to the people of Haiti.

Kihomi and Nzunga serve as a vital link between International Ministries and the Haitian Baptist Convention. They both visit and preach in churches and serve through a variety of ministries. Nzunga teaches theology at the Christian University of Northern Haiti, trains assistant professors in teaching and administers a scholarship program for elementary, high school and university students. He manages two projects: the goat and pig project for children and the clean water project for communities. He also administers the Cap-Haitian Eye Clinic. Kihomi works with families in the areas of counseling, women’s health, Community Health Evangelism and economic development. She also coordinates and advises the women’s association of the Haitian Baptist Convention, representing women of all the Baptist denominations of Haiti at international conferences.

They write: Greeting. Let us introduce you to the most successful young lady from our Haitian University. She is Louisenie Desauguste, known as Dezo.  I taught Dezo in her freshman year at our Universite Chretienne du Nord d’Haiti in 2006. Soon after she became very close to Manmie Kihomi.

Dezo graduated in 2010 with a Bachelor in Business Administration. Manmie Kihomi asked her to assist her with the women ministries in being the office organizer. After a successful year in the office, with the help of First Baptist Church of Lawrence, Kansas and some friends from Oregon, Dezo came to the States to pursue a higher degree. Dezo just completed her masters of Divinity at Central Baptist Theological Seminary in Kansas. Her graduation walk will take place in May 2018.

While in seminary, Dezo did her internship at First Baptist Church of Kansas City, Missouri. She later was called to join the pastoral team. In September, the church voted to hire her full –time to co-pastor with Pastor Steve Jones.

Without your prayers, your sacrificial giving, Dezo would not have become who she is today.  You can follow her inspiring sermons on YouTube (Louisenie Desauguste) & Facebook (Dezo Louisenie Louise Desauguste).

Go into the world, make my disciples and baptize them in the name of Jesus. Dezo is an example.
