Lance and Christina describe themselves as “Zimbabwean peace warriors.” Working with the Trees of Peace ministry in Zimbabwe, they conduct trainings in conflict transformation across Africa utilizing experiential learning methodologies which they learned from their mentors, Dan and Sharon Buttry, IM global servants in peace and justice.
Christina and Lance Muteyo, both passionate peacemakers who creatively combine art and activism, have been appointed to serve with International Ministries (IM) as International Associate Global Servants in their home country of Zimbabwe. The first IM global servants to serve in this southern African country, the couple is employed by Trees of Peace Africa, an IM partner whose mission is to change the world through planting seeds of love, peace and harmony in Africa.
IM responded quickly with an $11,700 One Great Hour of Sharing (OGHS) emergency relief grant to UBCZ. The funds were put to work immediately.
In Burundi, the D.R. Congo and Zambia, children impacted by war and conflict have very little access to education. Through the Student Tuition Expense Program, your gift can give them the opportunity to attend school by covering the cost of tuition and school supplies.
