GoalThe goal of this project is to provide family bathrooms, training in hygiene and sanitation, family gardens and village training gardens in Thailand.
SummaryThis project seeks to raise $12,600 per village to provide 20 families with sanitation facilities.
DescriptionThe hill tribes in northern Thailand live in deep poverty without access to clean water or sanitation facilities. They are vulnerable to disease, hunger and the lure of oppressive systems like human trafficking. Many of the 2 million people in this region who die annually due to lack of clean water and sanitation are children. This project will build a family bathroom with a squat toilet, bathing facilities and provide training in good hygiene and sanitation. Installing toilets that keep human waste underground, will prevent hungry pigs from eating it, and then exposing villagers to contaminated pork. It will also prevent contamination of water used on family garden. It is anticipated that this project will improve village health, provide economic development through better crops and healthy livestock and introduce the love and compassion of Jesus Christ.
Suggested GiftsA gift of $250 provides one family bathroom. $300 provides one bathroom and garden. $500 provides training gardens for a village. $6,000 provides all of the above for one village with 20 families
Prayer RequestsPray that this project will provide for the needs of families in these villages. Pray that families will feel loved by God as a result of this project.
