Here are a few of the up-coming virtual journeys sponsored by the Short-Term Mission team:
- What’s in your cup? is a series of one hour virtual “Learning Roundtable Conversations” with Rev. Rebecca Driscoll, Creation Care Minister at TABCOM, and the staff from the Short-Term Mission desk. Sugar on October 5th at 4pm(EST). Attendees will look at the origin of sugar from sugar cane plantations in the Dominican Republic, the social justice or injustices behind its production and moments of hope that have come out of the bateys. How might God be asking us to respond as we live Micah 6:8? The Roundtable Conversations with Ketly & Rev. Vital Pierre will provide a unique opportunity to connect local, national and international perspectives, and discover common threads. A link to a documentary and reading materials will be shared ahead of October 5th to everyone who registers. Send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org if you would like to register for this up-coming session.
- The Virtual experience scheduled for November 2nd, at the New Life Center in Thailand with Rev. Kit Ripley & Brienzi Duffy is at full capacity! No registrations are being accepted.
- Ministry in Israel/Palestine hosted by the Association of Baptist Churches will shed light on Arab Christians spreading God’s good news in Cana, Galilee and other communities. Join us virtually mid February 2022 with an open heart, and learn how to be better peacemakers from siblings in Christ who are themselves considered to be the marginalized of the marginalized in their own country. Dates for the 3-Day Mission Express will be confirmed soon.
